Symphony wins Lambeth Conference contract
3rd July 07

Symphony has won a prestigious and extremely detailed commission from the Lambeth Conference.
The Lambeth Conference is called once every ten years by the Archbishop of Canterbury and sees the greatest gathering of Anglican Bishops and their spouses anywhere in the world. The next Lambeth Conference takes place in July 2008 at the University of Kent, Canterbury and is expected to attract at least 1500 people: bishops and their spouses, translators, youth stewards and more. Delegates come from all corners of the globe to take part.

The conference is actually split into two separate events, one for the Bishops and one for their spouses, and delegates need to be able to begin their bookings and then return to edit and add to them at a latter date. On top of this the conference runs for 20 days with a myriad of workshops, sessions, speeches and social activities and all the organisational headaches this creates.

The Conference organisers needed a system to manage the unique complexities of such an undertaking. They needed online booking, credit card integration and a software package that could look after all of their booking and reporting needs.

They decided on Symphony because it met all their requirements and offered reliability, ease of use, and great technical support.

Both the Lambeth and Symphony teams are now hard at work bringing the 2008 Lambeth Conference to life.
