How symphony works
The Government of New Zealand will be employing the help of Symphony to organise the unveiling of their London monument in Hyde Park attended by the Queen.
The memorial which will be officially unveiled at Ceremony in Hyde Park on November 11th, will commemorate the long relationship between New Zealand and the UK and serve as a point of remembrance of sacrifices made by the two countries in both World Wars.
Designed by architect John Hardwick-Smith and sculptor Paul Dibble the memorial consists of sixteen cross-shaped vertical bronze 'standards' set in formation on a grassy slope.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will be attending the event as well as New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark who said of the event,
"The dedication in November will be a significant event. There will be around seven hundred invited guest and a contingent of 320 people, including veterans and a New Zealand tri-service Royal Guard of Honour."
Symphony Director Darren Bristow said of Symphony's involvement,
"We are very proud to have been involved with this project and look forward to working with the organisers in the future."
