MS Convention

Background: The MS Society is the UK's largest charity,for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) with 4,400 members. Amongst other services they provide help and support for people affected by MS.

Recently they ran their largest event ever with 2700 delegates converging on Manchester. In order to help them achieve this aim they used Symphony Online Event Management Software to handle delegate registrations and management for the event. With a small Conference Team, a large convention of 2700 attendees can place a strain on limited resource. By using Symphony the MS Society were able to reduce the administrative strain on their staff, and provide a more professional booking system to its members and delegates.

What Symphony needed to do:

• Provide the MS Society Conference Team with a simple delegate management interface
• Provide MS Society members and other potential delegates with an easy to use and highly accessible booking form
• Collect a variety of information from delegates including requirements for disabled parking and creche facilities
• Register whether they wished to attend any of the social programme associated with the convention
• Allow the MS Society Conference Team access to detailed reports on their delegates and their requirements

• A simple and effective online registration form was delivered thus reducing the number of queries directed towards the Conference Team
• Symphony's easy to use back office interface allowed the MS Society Conference Team to keep track of sign-ups for the convention at the touch of a button
• Being able to access Symphony 24/7 from any location allowed the MS Society Conference Team to keep track of their event outside of the office
