Meetings Minds & Oxford University

Background:

'Meeting Minds' was the first University-wide Alumni Weekend to be based in Oxford. It provided an opportunity for over 1500 alumni and their guests to return and participate actively in three days of events in and around the University. The Oxford Alumni Weekend programme contained both college and University events, giving alumni the opportunity to become involved in discussions and debates with some of the University's top academics and prominent alumni. The programme showcased Oxford's exceptional research, and emphasised the depth and diversity of the University's academic achievements.

Working in conjunction with Oxford University's events team, Symphony provided online registration facilities for alumni whilst also providing the event staff with a flexible and robust solution to manage delegate and registration data.

What Symphony needed to provide

  • A branded tailored registration page that reflected Oxford University's corporate identity.
  • Live information that could be accessed anywhere at any time including an online facility for delegates to see who else had registered for the conference
  • An online attendee registration page so delegates could book their place online hassle-free.
  • Allow delegates to book and choose from over 100 activities throughout the event

Benefits delivered:

  • Comprehensive reporting functions were provided so that reports could be created quickly and easily.
  • All event information - for all the people who needed to know - was in one place and easy to access.
  • Easy to use booking form for delegates to pick and choose which activities and lectures they wished to attend
  • Instant confirmation of place on conference via email including list of dates and times of activities booked
  • No software needed to be installed as everything was online.
