I would like to take the opportunity, at this festive time of year to introduce myself as well as wishing you all a very merry Christmas! My name is Danielle Page and I am the newly appointed Account Executive for Symphony.
My background consists of a wide range of practical experience in managing and delivering public and private sector events, both within the UK and in Europe. My very first post as a junior Events Co-ordinator was based at a small private events company in York back in 2005. From concept to completion, I had a vital input into the marketing, administration, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of events, ranging from elaborately themed corporate balls, conferences, teambuilding days, out door musical concerts, promotional events and hospitality packages. Since 2005 my career progressed to managing and delivering events for a publically funded project in aging research, which provided me with the opportunity to deliver larger scaled, highly profiled political conference events for up to 300 delegates in Bulgaria and at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Back then, the only tools of the trade available to me were usually a computer, calculator and a chair! It’s quite hard to imagine a world without Symphony now; I can’t quite believe I ran events without this piece of software. I remember how hard it was to keep on top of every little thing in a sea of shifting detail. And how worried I used to get, that I could have missed something, scanning through endless colour coded excel sheets at daft o’clock the night before.
Now I assist event and project managers, up and down the country in delivering their events with ease and with the knowledge and confidence that every little ever changing detail, is always automatically taken care of.
