Symphony has recently integrated with multiple payment providers to allow attendees to pay by card on booking forms built within the booking form builder. This means that you can quickly and easily set up secure card payment so that attendees to your events can pay instantly, which minimises the hassle of obtaining payment by alternative methods such as cheques.
Symphony is currently integrated with:
These three payment providers are the most widely used and trusted payment providers within the UK and can take payment by all major card types from attendees anywhere in the world. To get started with card payment, you will need a merchant account with one of these three providers. We plan to integrate with additional payment providers in the future and can integrate with any specific payment provider at your request.
Simple Setup
Setting up card payment for you event couldn't be simpler. Under the payment section of event setup, you can add a new method of payment. There is a short and simple step-by-step guide of the details you need to enter into Symphony for payment to be transferred into your merchant account. Depending on which payment provider you select, you will only need to enter one or two pieces of integration information relating to your merchant account, so the setup process is very quick. The information entered for integration is stored securely, and is solely for the purpose of adding funds to an account (you can sleep easy at night knowing that funds cannot be withdrawn from an account with integration information!)
Secure Payment
Once a new payment method has been setup, it will become available on the summary page of a booking form built within the booking form builder (unless a booking is free of charge). If payment by a card provider is selected on the summary page when the booking is submitted, the attendee is sent to a secure page to enter their card details. Card payment pages are handled by the payment provider, so Symphony does not store any card details whatsoever. If payment succeeds, then the attendee is sent to a Symphony confirmation page and their booking is marked as paid within Symphony. If, however, payment fails (e.g. the attendee has insufficient funds in their account), then the attendee will be sent to a Symphony payment failed page so that they are notified that their payment was unsuccessful.
Payment Emails
Emails can be setup within Symphony that are triggered when payment for a booking is received or when payment has failed. This allows you to setup up a payment success email that confirms to the attendee that you received their payment. You can even include a link in this email to the attendee's card receipt. Additionally, you can setup a payment failed email that notifies the attendee that their booking has not yet been paid for. You can BCC yourself into this email so that you are notified if a particular attendee is having payment problems.

The new Symphony API allows developers to integrate Symphony forms with their existing systems, create completely bespoke solutions for new registration forms or even create registration apps for mobile devices. With methods for submitting, retrieving and amending information within the Symphony system, the possibilities for innovation are endless.
Simple
Enabling the Symphony API couldn’t be simpler, by navigating to the settings tab within Symphony, click “enable API” to generate your unique API key and secret key. Developers are provided with full documentation of the API detailing input and output parameters of all the API’s methods.
Secure
The secure keys generated are used when accessing Symphony via the API to ensure that you have authenticated sole access to your Symphony account; preventing other users from accessing your Symphony data.
Reliable
The Symphony API has been thoroughly tried and tested by the Symphony technical team, who use the API for every bespoke registration form build.
Flexible
The Symphony API web service is programming language independent, which enables developers to use the API in their preferred language, which is ideal when integrating with existing systems or new technologies.
To find out more about Symphony and its API, please request a demo and we will show you what Symphony can do for you!

Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Richard and I have worked as part of the Symphony Technical team for a year, delivering registration forms and websites to our clients in addition to developing the latest version of the Symphony application.
Since Symphony began, all registration forms and websites have been custom built by web developers from a client's requirements brief. However, event managers can now create registration forms and websites themselves within the latest version of the Symphony application. Event managers can also update existing websites and registration forms and publish any changes to their live site at the click of a button. This new functionality keeps website and registration form development costs to a minimum and provides a great deal of flexibility for amends.
The new website and registration form builder may sound quite daunting, but it is very simple to use! Content for websites is easily applied using our simple interface to add formatted text, hyperlinks, images, documents and much, much more. If you cannot quite get the result you are looking for, we can offer assistance and custom code for complex content layouts. We can also add any custom functionality to websites, to give your website a more dynamic and eye-catching appearance.
The Symphony form and website builder also includes templates, which have customisable colours and images (e.g. header logos) to apply the same style to each page on your website. We offer a service to build custom reusable templates to create a professional look and feel for your events. Once built, these custom templates are available under your company's templates section in the Symphony application, which is especially useful for frequently occurring or roadshow events that have similar branding and layout. These custom templates also function in the same way as standard templates, by allowing their colours and images to be edited.
Within the Symphony application itself, we can add any custom functionality you require to assist the effective management of your events. By offering these services and more, we aim to supply all of our clients with the most effective, affordable and appropriate solution for all their event management needs.
If you have any questions about the services you can expect from Symphony or would like to request a demo, get in touch with Jessica Penny on 0114 279 4994 or via jpenny@symphonyem.co.uk.
